State governments offer electricity concessions and emergency help. Eligibility varies and can change, so check the details for your state below.
Queensland
Electricity Rebate
Complete the concession form and include a copy of your concession card. We apply the rebate to your RMS account.
Queensland
Emergency Assistance (HEEAS)
One-off help with your energy bill if an unexpected emergency or short-term financial crisis has made it hard to pay. Available once every two years.
NSW & NT
Other States
NSW residents apply through Service NSW for the Low Income Household Rebate as an on-supply customer. NT residents can check the NT Concession Scheme.
Timing matters
We need your application at least 14 days before your next billing period for the rebate to apply to that bill. Please check your bills to make sure the rebate has been credited, and call us if it hasn’t.
